In 1977, Richard Schmidt received his master electrician license and began Gallatin Electric in his garage. The company grew tremendously in the next seven years expanding into a full-service electrical shop. In 2002 Gallatin Electric incorporated and purchased land in Belgrade where it is currently located on Bartz Lane.
Gallatin Electric has been a family-owned company and takes great pride in their growth and contributions to the Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas.
